Return & Refund Policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026
We want you to be happy with Motion Key. This page explains how returns, withdrawals, and refunds work. It sits alongside our Terms of Service, which contain the full legal detail.
30-day satisfaction guarantee
If you are not satisfied with your Motion Key device, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price. This is our own guarantee, on top of your statutory rights. To be eligible, the device must come back complete and undamaged, in the condition you received it, in its original packaging, and you should have your order number or proof of purchase. If it does not meet those conditions, we do not accept the return under this guarantee — your statutory rights below are unaffected. Email us at support@motionkeyapp.com to register your return first.
EU/EEA & UK: 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your device, without giving a reason. This is in addition to the 30-day guarantee above.
To withdraw, email support@motionkeyapp.com with the subject “Withdrawal” before the 14 days end — a short statement is enough, and you can copy the model form below. If you have a store account, you can also withdraw straight from your order there. Then send the device back within 14 days of telling us, in its original packaging. We refund all payments we received from you, including standard delivery, within 14 days of your notice (we may wait until we receive the device back or you show proof you have sent it).
Model withdrawal form. You do not have to use this, but you are welcome to copy it: “To Motion Key, Marleen Van Tieghem, Sparrenstraat 33, 8310 Bruges, Belgium, support@motionkeyapp.com. I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the sale of the following goods: [order number], ordered on [date] and received on [date]. Name and address of the consumer. Date.”
Faulty, damaged, or wrong items
Please check your order when it arrives. If it is damaged in transit, defective, or the wrong item, contact support@motionkeyapp.com straight away and we will make it right at no cost to you.
We also guarantee the device against manufacturing defects and hardware failure for two (2) years from delivery: if it stops working properly due to a defect during normal use, we will repair or replace it free of charge. This does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, unauthorised modification, or normal wear and tear. For faulty devices we cover the return shipping with a prepaid label.
How to return
- Email support@motionkeyapp.com with your order number and the reason for your return.
- We will confirm your return and send instructions within 2 business days.
- Pack the device securely and send it back. For a withdrawal that is within 14 days of telling us; for a return under our 30-day guarantee, within the period we agree with you.
Please register your return with us first — it lets us match the parcel to your order. For our own 30-day guarantee this is a condition: a device that reaches us without a registered return may be declined under that guarantee. It does not affect your statutory right of withdrawal, but it can delay your refund.
Refunds
Once we receive and check your returned device, we will refund the purchase price to your original payment method. For withdrawals, we refund within 14 days of being notified (we may wait until we receive the device back or you show proof you have sent it). Standard delivery costs are refunded for withdrawals. Return shipping is at your cost for voluntary returns and withdrawals, and at our cost for faulty devices. Once we approve a refund, your bank or card provider may still take some time to post it to your account.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. The quickest way to get a different item is to return your device and, once the return is accepted, place a new order.
Motion+ subscriptions
Motion+ is billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancellations and refunds for subscriptions are handled through your store account, under Apple’s and Google’s rules.
